Johanniter Unfallhilfe
Established in 1952, Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe is supported by 13,000 full-time employees and 30,000 volunteers, and close to 1.4 million people are sustaining members.
Building on our domestic medical expertise, Johanniter International Assistance has a strong focus on providing primary healthcare in disaster regions and particularly disadvantaged regions around the world. We support health clinics and hospitals by providing them with basic medication, medical supplies and equipment. In the wake of a natural disaster, we are able to respond quickly with shipments of medication, tents, and blankets, and treat victims from our mobile clinics and field hospitals. Additional Johanniter offers first aid and disaster preparedness courses around the world.
In order to improve care for people with physical disabilities, we support adequate prosthetic and orthotic services as well as rehabilitation structures by equipping them with machinery and orthopaedic devices.
