Volker Beck

Volker Beck is Chief Whip and Human Rights Spokesman of the Parliamentary Group of Alliance 90 / The Greens. Born in 1960 in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt, Mr Beck studied history, history of art and German language and literature. He worked as a research assistant for the Parliamentary Group of Alliance 90 / The Greens in the Bundestag and became a member himself in 1994. He is also a member of the Committee on Human Rights and Humanitarian Aid of the German Bundestag, a member of the Committee for the Scrutiny of Elections, Immunity and Rules of Procedure, and a member of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Group of Alliance 90 / The Greens.
