
Suzana Lipovac
Born in Stuttgart in 1968 as daughter of Bosnian Croatians
1988 a-levels and vocational training as European secretary, study of History and Politics
After the outbreak of war in Yugoslavia in 1993, Suzana Lipovac founded the relief organisation KinderBerg International e.V. based in Stuttgart and New York in order to realise humanitarian aid projects in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo and Macedonia.
In 2002, after the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York, KinderBerg International e.V. initiated its first projects in Kabul and Southern Afghanistan by setting up emergency relief ambulances and health care stations especially in rural areas. Since 2006, KinderBerg International e.V. has been running the civil-military project "Community-building" in Northern Afghanistan which is funded by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany. Since then, the association has provided more than one million primary medical care treatments mainly in rural, underserved areas of Afghanistan.
Further humanitarian projects are located in Sri Lanka, Nepal and Côte d'Ivoire.
