Rachel ter Horst

Rachel ter Horst holds a MSc in public health in developing countries from LSHTM. She is a medical advocacy adviser for MSF, based in Amsterdam. She has worked with MSF in various countries (Cambodia, Darfur, South Sudan and Ethiopia) as a medical doctor, researcher and medical coordinator. She worked several MSF kala azar programmes, for example in a kala azar care centre in South Sudan and Ethiopia and carried out research on kala azar/HIV co-infection in Ethiopia. Her current focus is advocacy on strategic medical priorities including neglected tropical diseases such as kala azar and sleeping sickness.
