Peter Tinnemann

Peter Tinnemann works with the Institute for Social Medicine, Epidemiology and Health Economics, Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin, where he has been coordinating since 2007 the project division International Health Sciences. His main research areas include Social Medicine, Access to Health Care and Health in a Globalizing World.
He studied Medicine at the Universities in Cologne and Hamburg, both Germany, holds a Masters degree in Public Health from Cambridge University, a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Medical Parasitology from the Bernhard Nocht Institute and a MD doctorate from Hamburg University.
Before his current position he worked as a Public Health Specialist for National Health Services in the United Kingdom.
His professional career includes more than 10 years international working experience with various humanitarian aid organisations, ranging from practicing paediatrics in low-resource settings to being in charge and managing medical aid projects.
