Kaz de Jong

Kaz de Jong (Physiotherapist, Movement Scientist, and Clinical Psychologist) joined Médecins Sans Frontières in 1994 during the Bosnia crisis. After his active field work he continued to work for MSF as Mental Health Specialist at the Public Health Department (1996). In 2008, he became manager of the MSF Psychosocial Care Unit. This unit provides psychosocial, mental health support to MSF expatriates and national staff.
Kaz de Jong is the author of several scientific publications: He wrote the «MSF Mental Health Guidelines» (2005) and contributed substantially to the «IASC Guidelines on Mental Health and Psychosocial support during emergencies» (2008).
