Kathrin Schick

Kathrin Schick has more than 20 years of experience in the development sector. She has been director of the Voluntary Organisations in Cooperation in Emergencies (VOICE) network since 2001, which brings together 83 humanitarian NGOs in Europe. She has worked for the Norwegian Red Cross and Norwegian People's Aid, as well as for the Directorate for Immigration of Norway, focusing on refugee issues and programmes in South America. She subsequently worked in Guatemala as a protection officer for the UNHCR and as a consultant for CARE International. In her seven years as deputy secretary general of the SOLIDAR network, she worked mainly on EU development policies and education campaigns. Her educational background is in social anthropology and business administration, from Oslo University, Norway.
