Hubertus Rüffer

Hubertus Rüffer was born in 1950 and graduated machine building engineer by profession. He is active in Emergency and Development operations since 1990.
Between 1990 and 1994 he was the head of projects in Nampula/Mozambique and the following three years country director and also head of projects in Tajikistan, followed by North Korea (1997-1999).
Mr Rüffer was desk officer for Afghanistan and Albania at Welthungerhilfe Headquarter for five years. In 2004 he became regional director for Central Asia based in Dushanbe responsible for Projects in Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. From 2008 until 2010 Mr. Rüffer was policy adviser for Welthungerhilfe based in Germany.
Since March 2010 he is safety and security Advisor at the Welthungerhilfe headquarters in Bonn.
