Frank Dörner
Frank Dörner was born and educated in Germany. After studying Human Medicine at the Free University of Berlin, he specialised in General Medicine and gained a Doctorate in the field of Tropical Medicine.
Frank Dörner started working in the field of humanitarian action with Médecins sans Frontières (MSF) in 1998 with missions in Sudan and Birma/Myanmar. Between 2003 and 2006, he was Medical Coordinator and later Head of Mission of MSF's HIV/Aids-projects in Guatemala. After that, he was an Operational Manager based in Geneva, supporting and managing MSF programs in Cameroon, Laos, Birma/Myanmar, Honduras, Guatemala, und Iraq.
Since May 2008, Frank Dörner has been General Director of MSF in Germany, based in Berlin.
