Bernadette Peterhans
Bernadette Peterhans has been a course co-ordinator and project leader at the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute in Basel since 1997. She trained as a nurse, specialising in emergency care in Switzerland, and was involved in several missions for the ICRC and the SRC including in Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, Somalia and Sudan. She graduated with a master of science in public health for developing countries from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 1999. She is a consultant for a number of organisations mainly concerned with the assessment of health systems in conflict and post-conflict countries.
