Ulrike Pamuk
Ulrike Pamuk (German Red Cross/Association of the Nurses of Red Cross) is a Nurse for Intensive Care and Anaesthesia. She is a member of German Red Cross (GRC/DRK) and was four times on a mission for the GRC, IFRC (International Federation of Red Cross), ICRC (International Committee of Red Cross). During her missions she was working in the Basic Health Care Unit and was responsible for several tasks like changing dressings, assisting in minor surgery operations and anaesthesia, consultations of the patients, monitoring and supervising the local staff, organizing the pharmacy, hygiene promotion (organizing a workshop for the local staff).
Her missions lasted from 6 weeks until 5 months; she was in Bam/Iran, El-Fasher/Sudan, Muzaffarabad/Pakistan and Gonaives/Haiti.
She also has a Master in Islamic Sciences and Ethnology and will finalize her doctorate in Ethnology in December of this year.
Currently, she is working in an Intensive Care Unit in Darmstadt.
