Dr. Norbert Schwarz, MD DTMH Msc, is an Epidemiologist and is currently working in the Infectious Disease Epidemiology Unit of the Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine in Hamburg, Germany.
He worked at the Clinical Research Center of the Albert Schweitzer Hospital in Lambaréné/ Gabon from 2003 till 2005, organizing a longitudinal study for malaria prevention in infants and children. Afterwards, in 2005/2006, he took a Diploma course in Public Health and Tropical Medicine in Liverpool and studied Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine to achieve a Master degree.
Before joining the Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine in October 2008, he has worked for 2 years at the Institut de Veille Sanitaire in Paris, France within the European Programme for Intervention Epidemiology Training (EPIET).
