Elgin Hackenbruch

Elgin Hackenbruch, Nurse, MSc in Medical Education (Cardiff), Teacher in Primary Health Care (Liverpool) is co-founder of the German section of Médecins sans Frontières (MSF) (1993) and has been in the board of the organisation from 2005 to 2009.
She has working experience with different organisations in Mozambique, Belize, Albania, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Sudan, and Tansania. For many years now, she has been engaged in the preparation and training of health workers who are going to work abroad.
Elgin Hackenbruch is the editor of the first and second edition of «Go International - Vorbereitungs-handbuch für die Entwicklungszusammenarbeit und Humanitäre Hilfe für Gesundheitsberufe», a book that provides the basic knowledge for working in the context of international health.
