Christa Kitz

Dr. Christa Kitz, MD DTMH, is a Paediatrician and also specialised in Tropical Medicine. She is currently completing her training in Paediatric Pneumology in Würzburg Germany.
Dr. Kitz studied Medicine in Würzburg, Germany, trained in Tropical Medicine and Public Health in Liverpool and is a Board Member of the German Association for Tropical Paediatrics. She worked several years in tropical countries as a Paediatrician and a Consultant for International Health for the Medical Mission Institute, Würzburg. She is also educating medical staff to handle with high infectious diseases llike haemorrhagic fever.
Christa Kitz has a broad international working experience: Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Congo, Nigeria, Niger, Angola, Simbabwe, Tansania and Rwanda. She worked in a mission for Médicins sans Frontières in Congo Brazzaville conducting a Malaria Study and in Angola during the Marburg virus outbreak.
Mrs Kitz has also worked for WHO during the SARS outbreak.
